The Balearic Association of National and International Real Estate Companies (ABINI) has held its General Assembly, which has approved the renewal of its Board of Directors, reaffirming a continued line in defence of the real estate sector in the Balearic Islands.
The new president elected unanimously is Daniel Arenas, from the real estate company Mallorca Site, who takes over from Hans Lenz, outgoing president who is stepping down after five years in office, although he will remain on the Board. Lenz was the first president of ABINI since its foundation, consolidating the association as a benchmark in the representation and defence of the interests of the real estate sector in the Balearic Islands. Under his leadership, ABINI has achieved key milestones such as the promotion of a more balanced regulatory framework for the sector, the strengthening of dialogue with the administrations and the consolidation of the association as an essential interlocutor in the real estate field.
Daniel Arenas assumes the presidency with the commitment to give continuity to the work done, strengthening the representation of the sector and facing the new challenges of the Balearic real estate market. He will be accompanied by Alby Euesden, Marvin Bonitz and John Van Eenennaam.
In his new position, Arenas stressed that one of ABINI’s main objectives will be to continue to work closely with local authorities to solve the housing problem in the Balearics. ‘The housing situation in the Islands is a challenge that we must address together with the government and social actors. From ABINI, we will continue to work to find balanced solutions that promote access to housing and the sustainable development of the sector,’ said the new president.
ABINI reiterates its commitment to continue working towards the sustainable and balanced development of the sector, with the aim of guaranteeing a transparent, accessible and competitive market in the Balearic Islands.
